Energy transfer

Energy transfer can be used to transfer energy from a donor to an acceptor without radiation. We want to use this concept to manipulate the emission behavior of colloidal particles in a targeted manner - ideally in a completely reversible manner. We are investigating, for example, strategies for the construction of new types of plasmonic nanolasers - sources of intense, directed and coherent radiation in which energy is transferred between emitters and plasmonic ones Nanostructures is used. These nanostructures can be individual plasmonic nanoparticles but also periodic superlattices of these particles. The most important basis for the development of efficient nanolasers are plasmonic structures with intense and narrow-band resonances.

More information will follow.
